Snowball 5K/1K Run, Walk, Roll or Stroll Benefitting Morgan’s Wonderland Set for Saturday, Dec. 21

WHO: Hundreds of fitness-minded families and individuals.

WHAT: Snowball 5K/1K Run, Walk, Roll or Stroll benefiting non-profit Morgan’s Wonderland, the world’s first theme park designed with special-needs individuals in mind and built for everyone’s enjoyment.  Event proceeds will enable the park to continue offering free admission to children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities.

WHEN:  9 a.m. (1K); 9:30 a.m. (5K) on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019. (Pre-event festivities will begin at 7:30 a.m.)

WHERE: Morgan’s Wonderland, 5223 David Edwards Drive (intersection of Wurzbach Parkway and Thousand Oaks Drive, a half-mile west of IH 35 in Northeast San Antonio).

WHY: To burn off excess holiday calories and raise funds to help individuals with special needs.

ETC.: Registration information can be found at www.MorgansWonderland.com/snowball/.  Onsite registration will be available and close 30 minutes prior to the 1K and 5K, respectively.  The Snowball Run, which will start and end inside Morgan’s Wonderland, will wind around nearby Heroes Stadium, circle the park’s lake and finish at the Starlight Amphitheater.  Registrants using walkers, wheelchairs and baby strollers are welcome.

The event, which will be held rain or shine, will offer age-group awards and fundraising prizes and incentives. Every Snowball Run/Walk registrant will receive a voucher good for free admission to the “A Wonderland Christmas” evening entertainment spectacle on either Dec. 21, 22 or 23.
